- Million Pound Dress
Van Peterson commissioned Locum Productions to make a film about a
£1 million diamond dress being modelled by Jodie Kidd at London
Fashion Week.
The client requested the show be filmed, edited and encoded for streaming
on their companys website by the end of the day.
Locum supplied two camera crews for the catwalk, a producer to conduct
interviews back stage with the model, the dress designer and the supplier
of the diamonds, together with an editor to cut the piece together
with vision, music and sound clips.
This was an assignment that required the creativity of a feature production
and the speed of a news story. Locum delivered - the film was produced
on deadline and within budget and was streaming on the website later
that day.
The dress everyone had come to see was modelled
by Jodie Kidd, and comprised a seamed black bodice fastened with belt
buckles, and floor-length black chiffon skirt, slit thigh-high. Scattered
over the dress were 2,000 cut diamonds, each set in 18-carat white
gold. Because of the value of the diamonds, which had been lent by
jewellers Van Peterson, the dress was driven away in a security van
within minutes of Kidd taking it off.
